Andy's Quick Porridge

A quick way to make porridge for breakfast.


Ingredients:
Small 30g (just under 1/3 cup) of porridge. 200ml (2/3 of a mug) milk (type to suit you - I use semi skimmed). 230g total weight 30g porridge, 200g milk, 230g total for small. 35g porridge, 235g milk, 270g total for medium. 40g porridge, 270g milk, 310g total for large. Optional: Yogurt and fruit to taste.


Method:
Mix the porridge and milk together in a cereal bowl. Microwave at 900 for 2 minutes. Stir. Microwave for another 30 to 60 seconds. It will try to boil over, so pause and stir with a spoon as required. Serve with a little yogurt (plain or fruit) together with some fruit.


Remarks:
One variant is to break a banana into the oat/milk mixture at the start. The banana quickly goes black as it cooks, but it is very tasty. Issue 2 20/11/2020.
